- An 'exhibition on paper' mapping Almaty's contemporary art scene from Abylkhan Kasteev to the post-Soviet present. Issue 1, themed '(Art) Upside Down' and guest-curated by Thibault de Ruyter, argues for a reoriented understanding of Central Asian contemporary art beyond Western European frameworks. Sections are structured as museum 'rooms'; the design references a 1983 Soviet encyclopaedia.
